Levinson prides himself on the writing of his entirely original Musical composition entitled Logos Divine: A Musical Opera. Growing discontented with the decline of original work & compositions on the Broadway stage, Logos Divine was born as a brain child aimed towards the revival of originality on the stage.

Logos Divine began as a concept song titled Bring Back the Boy on March 5th, 2023. This song, ripe in its 2/3 polyrhythmic syncopation and compound meter, coupled with a passionate tale of a father trying to find youth stolen from him, helped to inform Logos Divine to what it is today. Albeit a much different story now, Logos Divine: A Musical Opera is a story meant to upset the contemporary musical schema of today: a sung-through Musical for the Musical Theatre vocalist, coupled with the grandiose yet personal themes of classic operetta.

The story revolves around three main characters: Logos Divine, the God of the world, Hosanna, his wife made in the image of love, and Cadence, a starry-eyed young man who yearns for the world to be better. Logos, at the beginning of his life, was alone and yearned for companionship, and from that yearning, he births the world and all life along with it. From this creation, he meets Hosanna, and he loves her; for whom can a God worship if not what he has created? Logos & Hosanna live happily for years, but as Logos continues to give all of his love to Hosanna, he neglects to care for the world he has created. The denizens of this world elect to rise up against their God to revenge their crumbling world and march towards Logos’ home despite Cadence’s pleas for peace & mercy. A battle breaks and a sacred life is lost to the fires of war. Logos, Cadence, & Hosanna, stunted by this great loss, learn to come to terms with their place in the world and choose who they want to be despite the circumstances they are born into.
